Art Scientifique: a conversation at the intersection of Science and Art

This March, join us for a unique conversation at the intersection of Science and Art, with the curators of Art Scientifique, Dr. Lisa Anderson (from Anthropology at CSU Fresno) and Dr. Martin Shapiro (from Psychology at CSU Fresno).

Art Scientifique was created to represent the beauty and art found in science. Lisa and Martin added this special show to Fresno’s annual art calendar in 2011, and it has grown to become an exciting spring event showcasing a variety of artwork by local artists and scientists. While the first four shows had a focal theme, this year’s show is thematically open so expect a wide variety of entries – and submit your work if you are artistically and scientifically inclined. Entries will be accepted on February 28th, 2015, and exhibited throughout the month of March at Chris Sorenson Studio.

As an extension of the 2015 show, we will host Lisa and Martin as our special guests for the March 2015 Café Scientifique. Join us for a freewheeling conversation about beauty and art in science.
